Dr Ivana Beara, full professor at Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia has gained PhD in Biochemistry in 2010 at Faculty of Sciences, UNS. Her main research focuses on the bioactivity of natural products, particularly their anti-inflammatory properties and underlying mechanisms of action, within the framework of functional food validation and characterization. She published 51 papers with total citation 2473, h-index 24 (Scopus, April 2025). She participated in six national and one international research project, and led one national project as principal investigator. She is a member of Serbian Biochemical Society, FEBS and Serbian Nutrition Society.
