Dr Jernej Ule and his colleagues investigate the RNA regulatory mechanisms, in particular the dynamic complexes between proteins and RNA that contribute to cellular homeostasis. Based on these findings, they are developing new molecular tools to prevent the formation of protein aggregates in neurodegenerative diseases. Jernej leads the RNA Networks Lab, primarily based at King’s College London, while working also with colleagues at the Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana and the Francis Crick Institute in London. More information about the group can be found at www.ulelab.info.
