Biography:

Mirta Boban obtained an MSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science in Zagreb, Croatia, in 2001. She conducted her doctoral research at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, where she received her PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2007. She did her postdoctoral training at the Max Perutz Labs Vienna/ Medical University of Vienna in Austria from 2007 to 2013. She then returned to the University of Zagreb in Croatia, where she has been a group leader at the School of Medicine, Croatian Institute for Brain Research, since 2020.
